POST-DOCTORAL PROJECT – Two-eyed seeing of peatlands in Northern Québec

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to work in a broad multidisciplinary project on peatlands in the Eeyou-Itschee James Bay region of Northern Québec, Canada. The postdoctoral fellow will have the exciting opportunity to integrate different types of data and knowledge systems on peatlands across the region in order to generate a conservation and ecological planning tool. Some sub-projects have generated biological data on plants, lichens, wildlife (birds, amphibians, and mammals). Other sub-projects have tied together Indigenous ways of knowing and understanding of peatlands, and characteristics of sites of community importance.
