North Pacific Seabird Genomics-Postdoc

I am looking for a postdoc to join my team at the University of Lethbridge to work on population genomics in North Pacific seabirds.  The project involves analyzing whole genome sequencing data from multiple seabird species (puffins, auklets and gulls) to examine population structure and evidence of adaptation. The project is part of a collaboration with various groups including Environment and Climate Change Canada.  My research group works on a variety of avian species including both seabirds and songbirds from temperate and polar regions.  We have a strong and diverse lab primarily studying population and conservation genetics.

Candidates require a background in genomics and bioinformatics.  Ideally the successful candidate would start in March 2022, but start date is flexible.  The position is for one year with possibility of renewal.

The University of Lethbridge is situated in southern Alberta about 2 hours south of Calgary.  Lethbridge is a medium sized city with about 100,000 people and located close to the Rocky Mountains.

Interested applicants can email their CV to theresa.burg<at>uleth.ca.  Please contact me if you have any questions.
